A discussion of mental health evaluations commonly used with children and adults and the process used to gather social background information for mental health reports.  Tactics for advocating in support of a strong evaluation and against a weak assessment will also be discussed.

She has just released her new book, The Sea Is So Wide and My Boat Is So Small: Charting a Course for the Next Generation, a call to action for all Americans to address the urgent needs of the country's youth. NDPI attendees will receive a copy of her book.  Her talk will be followed by a book signing and reception.
