Changes to ex parte appeals practice at the PTO are on the horizon. This nuts-and-bolts program seeks to help the PTO in shaping the revised rules. Following a presentation by Judge Fleming regarding the status of appeals at the Board, participants will have an opportunity, in the spirit of the PTO’s recent Appeals Roundtable, to comment on: positive and negative aspects of the current appeals process, the proposed rules published on June 10, 2008, and the proposed rules published on December 22, 2009.
