2010 Wall Street Reform Bill: What’s in it for Lawyers?”
Beginning at 1:30 p.m., the Bar Association of the District of Columbia, will sponsor with the support of the Corporation Law Section of the D.C. Bar, a presentation and discussion with Prof. John C. Coffee, Jr.
Professor John C. Coffee, Jr., Adolf A. Berle Professor of Law at Columbia University Law School, has testified frequently before Senate and House Committees, and worked with Congressional Staffs on many key aspects of the pending Wall Street Reform Legislation, as well as a leading contributor in international efforts to regulate the financial services industry.
Professor Coffee will review significant aspects of the pending Wall Street Reform Legislation and present an article on “Ratings Reform: The Impact of Proposed, Pending, and Possible Reforms.”
Prof. Coffee’s presentation will be followed by a discussion with attendees moderated by: Ford C. Ladd, DiMuro Ginsberg PC, and Chairman, BADC Securities Law Committee; and Larry P. Ellsworth, Jenner & Block LLP, and Chairman, DC Bar Corporation, Finance, and Securities Law Section.
