SUMMARY:2nd Annual Potomac River Bench & Bar Peak Performance and Resilience Summit
DESCRIPTION:  \nRegister Today \nComplimentary event\, registration required by April 17\, 2026. A separate communication to confirm attendance to follow.\n\nLive Streaming URL: bit.ly/apafsummitlive\nPassword: gaMQcCAK523\n \nAbout this Event \n“Of all the forms of inequality\, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhuman.” – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. \nAlthough we are living in dynamic and uncertain times\, we still do not prioritize our mental health in the same way that we prioritize our physical health. Unfortunately\, not everyone has access to the same health resources or help when needed – even after a global pandemic. This is unacceptable. We must come together to reimagine wellbeing and redefine resilience to achieve better whole health outcomes regardless of socioeconomic status or zip code. \nThe APA Foundation and its Center for Workplace Mental Health\, the Rotary Club of Howard West\, and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia are teaming up for the 2nd Annual Potomac River Bench & Bar Peak Performance and Resilience Summit and reception (the Summit) on Friday\, May 1\, 2026\, 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM\, at K&L Gates LLP\, 1601 K Street\, NW\, Washington\, D.C. 20006. The featured speakers and panelists will consist of psychiatrists\, psychologists\, social workers\, judges\, attorneys\, law students\, wellness advocates\, and community representatives with lived experience. \nThe Summit’s learning objectives will include: \n\nDefining and dealing with stress\, burnout\, and wellbeing in the workplace;\nNeurodivergence\, disabilities & the law; and\nNavigating the family caregiver’s burden as a legal professional\n\nWarmest regards\, \nCo-Chairs: Rawle Andrews Jr.\, Esq. and Shirley Ann Higuchi\, Esq.\nOrganized by: American Psychiatric Association Foundation
